Roadside Sraying
Cambrilea Weed Spraying (CWS) commenced roadside spraying operations in 2019, initially focusing on brush weed control in the Otorohanga rural roads district through a subcontracting arrangement with Bond Contracting. CWS undertook brush weed spraying tasks in accordance with a Traffic Management Plan (TMP), ensuring compliance with road signage requirements and diligently maintaining daily spray diaries, job safety analysis (JSA), and TMP plans. Our operational efficiency allowed us to cover a range of 50km to 100km per day, depending on the density of the brush weeds. CWS has successfully completed this contract multiple times since its inception, and we are proud to hold two Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) tickets within our business.
In late 2022, CWS was engaged by Fulton Hogan to subcontract for the Matamata-Piako district Roading system. This extensive project involved the application of our own TMP plans for spraying all roadside furniture, traffic islands, and culverts, covering a distance of 1000km one way. With our TMP mobile plan and the support of a pilot vehicle, we efficiently utilised our hydraulic front-mounted boom and camera, along with handheld sprayers for culverts and traffic islands. Fulton Hogan conducted regular roadside audits on our TMP plans and vehicles, ensuring consistent compliance. We possess a comprehensive inventory of traffic management signage and road cones to ensure safe and effectve operations.
